Cookin'

Like Pastor Rodney says, "be glad this is as hot as it's going to get for us Christians"!

Luke is happy he is in a temperature-controlled hotel for now. :)

Crazy People!

My coworker sold me her Graco Metrolite Stroller for $20 yesterday and I brought it home to test it out. We tried putting the cat in it to test it out, but she wasn't having it! LOL!

The stroller is in very good shape and is very boy-appropriate! I am excited it has cup holders for Momma on the back. :)  Luckily, I can store this is my car trunk until we need it. But we are having fun playing with it for now!

20 week belly

Your Baby: Week 20

Size of a cantaloupe!

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Little Man Clothes

These are the finds from yesterday's thrift shopping. Hubby loved them all and was so amazed how cheap they were and what good shape they are in. I think he is really proud of me that I am bargain shopping for the little guy!

Seashore themed onesie and a pair of denim shorts

Overalls! I think these are so cute. They remind me of late 80's style clothing for boys.

This is both our personal fave. Wait till you see what's on the bum!

Hee hee!!!

And lastly, I rearranged and cleaned up the nursery area. I decided to put the bassinet in between the wicker thing and the changing table so we can hang a stuffed animal hammock in the corner over the wicker thing. I can see we are going to have serious storage issues, especially since our only closet is bursting with our own stuff!

The Wall of Luke

This is what I did the first night we found out it was a boy. I painted the letters for his name, and we bought the onesies. So cute! I love blue, brown, and green together.

Please excuse the miscellaneous junk needing to be tended to around and on the changing table!

The monkey is my absolute favorite! I love to look at it every day and picture a baby boy inside it. I get all sappy!

I bought a bunch of onesies at the thrift shop today and am now finishing up washing them in hot water and borax to make sure they are clean. I can't pass up .50 cent pieces of clothing I know he's going to grow out of in a minute! There's no way I will ever be a designer label mom. It just ain't in me. I will share those finds later. I found overalls!!
