1st Heartbeat Visit

Yesterday I went in for another appointment! I have been uninformed about what goes on at future appointments, that I wasn't aware of the heartbeat scanning they'd be doing this time! I was so sad that Matt wasn't there for it, but he'll be able to hear it at my next one in 4 weeks at least.

The nurse found the heartbeat on the first try. She forewarned me that "don't be disappointed if we can't hear it the first time", but she picked it up right away. It was strong and fast and amazing!! I kept laughing/crying and it messed up the audio, but she let me hear it twice at the appointment since I wasn't scheduled for another ultrasound just yet.

She said I am very "Normal" and they don't need me to come in again till May 10th. Then they will do the regular (urine, weight check, etc.) and let us hear the heartbeat again. The chance of miscarrying is pretty much 0% she said, which made me feel relieved! The Hyde Nugget is a strong little sucker.

I have stayed about the same weight-wise, except I feel like I have "popped" a bit in the belly. I have bought maternity pants and skirt so that sitting down is more comfortable. Still haven't told many people at my work because I don't want to field a lot of questions this early on since I'm stuck here till October!

Still no vomiting and very little nausea! I feel really great for 11 weeks. Going to bed about 9:00 and getting up at 6:30. Matt is being amazing to do so much of the packing for our move this Saturday, he is making it very easy on me.
