Little Man is Growing Up

Dear Luke,

You are 12 months, 2 weeks! You are changing so quickly and becoming more and more of a little person with a distinct personality. You are quite the ham in front of the ladies and any crowd for that matter. You love Sundays when we are at church with all our church family, and you crawl all over the place like a madman after the service is over!

You have one top tooth and three bottom teeth, but many more are popping up. You are eating regular food now and eat anything I have on my plate, and what an appetite! The doctor said you are only 20 lbs, though, so I am trying to feed you more. Whole milk (lactose-free) is your new favorite thing and you guzzle it down in your sippy cup.

It is getting colder now so we aren't taking as many walks, but I still try to get you outside when I can. We are finding new things to do indoors to keep you busy and happy. You like crawling around the apartment and seeing what new things you can find to investigate. The cat food dish, lower cupboards, and space heaters are your favorite things to get in to, so mommy is on you like a hawk!

Your latest words are "cat-cat" and saying "dada" more clearly. You tend to babble in semi-sentences, which makes me think you are picking up the flow of language a bit more. You still like to spend most of your time amusing us with your silly sounds and screeches!

This Thanksgiving we will be with family, unlike last year when we lived in NC. We will see Gramere, JJ, Grammy, Grampy, GG, Aunt Betsy & Family, and maybe some Great-Great Aunts and Uncles. It will be quite the time!
