Time is flying by too fast, Luke!! You are changing so rapidly it makes my head spin to think about how much you depended on me last year at this time and now you are off doing your own thing practically.
You really REALLY want to talk sometimes! The most common words that come out, but not necessarily clearly yet, are:
~Tractor
~Truck
~Dump Truck
~Garbage Truck
~BALL! BALL!
~Cheese
~Jesus
~Bible
~Church
~MORE!
We are trying to work on:
~Please
~Thank You
~Excuse Me
=)
It takes time and training, I am learning!
Today you got your first toddler car from Once Upon A Child and you are in love with it. You love the squeaky horn and when Dada pushes the car around for you.
We have cut back on the TV watching and it is doing wonders for your speech and attentiveness. I love to look into your room and see you standing there reading a book intently. You are thinking of more things to do on your own while I do the dishes, clean, etc. That makes me glad!
You have most of your teeth in except for your canines, which are starting to pop up. They are sharp like Dada's!
You are NOW afraid of the vacuum cleaner which is strange because you used to smile when I turned it on before but now you aren't so sure it is cool...
You LOVE to read and are constantly pushing books at me and saying, "plahhb!!" which I think is "Please! (read)" Of course, I can't resist and drop what I'm doing to read to you about 95% of the time (unless I've got my hands in the dishwater).
Your favorite books are:
~The Fire Engine Book
~Things that Go (compliments of Pediatrician)
~Jesus Loves Me
~Chirpy Chick
Let's see...you've gotten sick twice in a row this month which was pretty hard on you, but you bounce back well! Still no ear infections or vaccinations for now. You are doing so well!
This summer is a bit quieter with no Bible studies going on so we are going to get you out to the library and to see friends for playdates since we don't want to be stuck inside all season! I know we will have fun no matter what we do. =)
I love you, Mookie!!
